This is a piece made by Nate Kitch for the French newspaper Liberation. This is an illustration because it isn’t necessarily realistic but it was created to make a point. I like this piece not only because of the colors and composition, but also because of the statement it makes about modern music. We have it with us everywhere and you don’t need to be musically talented to create music on the computer, because many parts of modern music are made using solely computers. I think the point of this piece is to emphasize our reliance on technology for basic human experiences, such as music, movies, cooking, etc. In my projects, I want there to be this clear of a message, but at the same time the message doesn’t punch you in the face and seem trite.
